Before the move

• You call our office or log on to www.athletesmoving.com and obtain a free estimate.
• We discuss the particulars about your move over the phone or in person and then schedule your move. Any request such as bringing extra boxes or specialty packing materials can be made at this time and will be accommodated during your move.
• A few days before your move you will receive a phone call from us to confirm your move. If you prefer, we can also send you an email or fax verification.
• Before an Athletes Moving crew is dispatched to your home or office, equipment and trucks are checked out for quality and cleanliness. Our movers also have to maintain a professional appearance and wear uniforms.

Your moving crew arrives, on time and ready to work

• When we arrive we will introduce ourselves and quickly survey the moving site.
• We will set up door jamb pads to the various entryways in your home or office.
• We will pad the wooden floors and doors for extra protection.
• We will shrink wrap the furniture to quickly stabilize all doors and drawers and add an extra layer of protection
• We will disassemble bed frames, dressers with mirrors, L shaped desks or any other furniture that might require disassembly before relocation
• If desired, our staff will also professionally pack your items such as kitchen supplies, books, clothes and other personal belongings.

Loading

• We will then remove your items from your home quickly and carefully and place them on our truck while padding every piece with clean blankets. Each item will be expertly positioned in the truck in a pre-determined loading sequence to make sure nothing will move or shift during the transition. After we are done loading we will walk through the house to make sure that we did not leave anything else behind.

Transit

• Our professionally trained drivers carefully drive to your new location. Careful driving is crucial to every move in order to avoid damages. We also use navigation in order to find the fastest route or can follow you directly to your new location.

Unloading, placement and re-assembly

• At this point the crew will work according to your directions of how you want your furniture set up and arranged. The movers will carefully unload the truck.
• After unloading is complete, we will arrange the furniture, set it up, connect your washer and dryer, and make sure everything is set up to your satisfaction before we leave. At this point you can pay for your move using your credit card or cash. Please note that no payment is required before the move is complete.

After the move

• You will receive a phone call or e-mail from your original Move Coordinator to discuss how the move went.
